In the 2016 election, James Franco announced his endorsement of Hillary Clinton with a spoof of the Dos Equis "Most Interesting Man" campaign. In partnership with Shlep Labs and James Franco, BFD Productions created a viral campaign trending on YouTube the week leading up to the election. The campaign was named to the list of “Best Political Ads of the 2016 Election Season” by AdForum.
